Adlai Chester is a CPA, CFE, and well liked instructor of accounting at Ball State University. He visited with DSP to speak about his professional career and answer questions.
He talked about how his career started and his role in the selling of Rutter Communications in 2008. He was approached by Ball State around the same time and took an instructing position, teaching ACC 201 and 202. Due to networking he's gained from being a board-member of various not-for-profit organizations, he was approached by Main Street Financial (Indianapolis) and accepted a controller position.
He talked about his company's current focus being retirement facilities and how they would prosper from the new generation of retirees. We also discussed the 2012 commercial loan default threat. The rest of the night was open to questions.
We thank Adlai Chester for visiting and speaking with us.

In 2007, the chapter took a tour of the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville.
What are Professional Events?
Professional events give the Brothers a chance to both work on their professionalism and learn about real business world success from people who have had success in it. Chapter professional programs range from presentations given by CEO's of multi-million dollar corporations to tours of the commercial facilities of one of the biggest media and entertainment venues in Indiana. As the mission statement of the Fraternity states, "fostering the study of business in the universities and promoting a closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce," are two of the biggest objectives of the Fraternity.
